So within hours of moving the character switcher to the top-right menu (you all noticed that, right?), it stopped working.
Tracking through the code changes didn’t show anything wrong, until I realised one vital other problem:
The WoW Armory was down.
d’oh. Dependency on the armory being online has now been removed from the character switcher, and as long as the character exists in our database it’ll now work whether Armory is up or not.
Doing a fairly major Forum upgrade today, so please excuse any weird error messages or temporary loss of posts.
All done! Currently testing out new forum software, and should replace the existing one shortly.

AAMS‘ Secret Santa event is now taking sign-ups on the official Cenarion Circle forums! If you’re interested in being both a giftee and a gifter, please stop on by and drop your name.
There are friendly ingame mailboxes under the name of Yotingo or Zizzikky (Horde), and Verogoth or Longrunner (Alliance) if the forums are being mean.
You can now add friends, family, and enemies when editing your character biography – just check the right-hand sidebar for the new options.
Our forums are now open for use. Note that you will post as the character you currently have selected at the top right.
You can now add your characters to the site, along with some other information.
Just log in, and click the “my characters” link at the top right of the page.
You can add your characters (they must exist on Cenarion Circle and be higher than Level 10), along with a number of biographical fields.
Coming soon: You will be able to add family relationships between characters.
Over the coming days we’ll be adding more features to the site.

- Events Calendar
- Forums

This will not allow much extra at the moment, but eventually you will be able to add your character information, access forums, and much more!
The new Darkmoon Faire starts today (Sunday 4th December) and runs until Saturday. Don’t miss out on your chance to do the new quests and get some of the new items (hint: SIX new pets, TWO new mounts!)
